Ongoing Call to Artists: Transitions
Transitions
CMCA is seeking submissions for Transitions, an on-going series featuring film and video by contemporary artists. The series takes place during the short window of time in which the exhibitions in our Main Gallery are being dismantled and reinstalled, and will be exhibited on a monitor at the visitors’ entrance. Transitions will feature animation, film, new media, and video, etc., as a way of giving voice to the increasingly important roles these media play in the landscape of contemporary art. Featured works will be listed on the CMCA website and email newsletter and posted on Facebook, and artist information will be on display alongside the work. In some cases, special equipment may need to be provided by the artist.

TO SUBMIT: Along with your DVD, please provide the title, year, and a description of the piece(s), along with a current résumé. Make sure to include your contact information, with name, mailing address, email, and phone number. Note that these materials will not be returned to you.

Please send to the following:
Transitions, CMCA, P.O. Box 147, Rockport, ME 04856 (via US Mail)
Transitions, CMCA, 162 Russell Ave., Rockport, ME 04856 (via UPS or Fed-Ex)

There is no deadline for this call. Your submission will be kept on file at CMCA and curatorial staff will contact you should your piece be chosen for the series.

Thank you!
